AskClass

Created several branding marketing products for AskClass, a Classroom Operating System, to advertise and expand the brand's connections. The products were stickers, multi-lingual brochures in both Letter and A4 sizes, business cards, table throws, and a roll-up poster. I collaborated with the CEO to ensure the final products met their specifications.

The Problem:

How can AskClass further market itself to potential clients?

The Solution:

Create marketing materials to reach a broader audience and demonstrate how it can benefit users. These materials are primarily for presentations and fairs, showcasing all the program offers. I created branding marketing materials to advertise the company at events and to sponsors. These items allow the brand to be seen, physically held, and carried home by potential customers, leaving a tangible reminder that can spark interest and conversation. In addition, these products function as mobile advertisements, spreading brand image wherever they go and increasing reach and visibility.

Style Guide

Educational Brochure

I created an informative brochure introducing AskClass to an international audience and encouraging them to consider integrating it into their teaching practices.

Design Requirements:

  • Format: A4 and US Letter size, PDF, portrait orientation.

  • Readability and Visual Appeal: Large fonts, high contrast, and visual elements such as screenshots utilized to ensure content is easy to read and engaging.

  • Color Scheme: Color schemes drawn from the brand's product.

  • Font: Glacial Indifference font chosen for a clean and modern aesthetic.

Objective: Screenshots from the app showcase its interface and functionality. The layout allows the reader to understand the product's value proposition quickly.

Content:

  1. Introduction: An introduction conveyed AskClass's mission to transform traditional lectures into engaging discussions.

  2. Student Outcomes: Card-based statistics demonstrated the positive impact of AskClass, such as increased engagement, comfort, motivation, and improved grades.

  3. Testimonials: Quotes from teachers and students provided authenticity and endorsement for AskClass's effectiveness.

  4. Key Features: Detailed feature descriptions, including screenshots, were provided to illustrate how AskClass enhances the classroom experience.

  5. Contact Information: Contact details along with social media links, were included to facilitate further engagement.

 

Overview: The project was designed with an international audience in mind. I aimed to swiftly communicate AskClass's value proposition to key decision-makers in the global education sector. The resulting brochure is a powerful marketing tool, persuading educators to explore AskClass as an innovative solution to classroom engagement challenges. For example, one of the brochures had a Vietnamese version to be sent to Southeast Asian educators to see that the software is adaptable for all languages.

Business Card

I designed a square business card communicating the brand's message and features in a concise and visually engaging format. The business card was designed with adherence to the brand's identity. 

 

Design Requirements:

  • Format: Square card with dimensions of 3x3 inches.

Front:

  • Tagline: "Transform your lectures into engaging discussions," prominently displayed.

  • Contact Information: The primary contact addresses were provided for accessible communication.

  • Social Media Links: Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube handles were showcased for broader engagement.

Back:

  • Multiple variations of the back were created, each catering to different aspects of the brand’s features, such as "Ice Breaker - Education."

  • Each variation included specific elements tailored to the category's purpose.

 

Design Elements:

  • Layout: The layout was designed for maximum visual impact while maintaining a clean and organized appearance.

  • Typography: Clear and legible fonts were chosen to ensure that the information was easy to read at a glance.

  • Color Scheme: The color scheme aligned with the brand, contributing to a consistent visual identity.

 

Overview: This portfolio project showcases my ability to create an impactful and visually appealing square business card design for AskClass. By skillfully incorporating key brand elements, relevant information, and engaging variations on the back, I aimed to present the brand's value proposition and features concisely and memorably. The resulting business card is a powerful tool for networking and brand promotion, effectively capturing the recipient's interest in AskClass's offerings.

Penguin Sticker

To represent the brand, I created memorable stickers of a penguin character with text design and creative concepts.

Design Requirements:

  1. Penguin Character Design: The standout element of the project was a penguin character designed using Adobe Illustrator. This penguin was portrayed in various iterations, showcasing its humorous and endearing qualities. Additionally, I incorporated stylish sunglasses on the penguin, adding a touch of coolness and fun.

  2. Text Design and Font Variations: Different font variations were explored, focusing on legibility and visual appeal. The "Ask More Questions" text was creatively integrated, bleeding over into an oval shape, drawing attention while maintaining a cohesive look.

  3. Feedback: I collaborated with the client to address their feedback and preferences throughout the design process. I made revisions based on their suggestions, ensuring the final designs aligned with their vision and brand identity.

  4. Production Details: The stickers were designed to fit within a 1.5 to 2 inches circular area with a die-cut finish. A total quantity of 500 units was intended to be produced. I provided the necessary files to meet the platform's criteria, ensuring a seamless production process.

  5. Further Applications: The project set the stage for further applications of the design assets, including potential usage on t-shirts and magnets. The assets were created and organized separately to facilitate easy adaptation to various mediums. The Adobe Illustrator files were delivered to be used for other merch in the future.

Additional Projects

I was also tasked with creating multiple table throw sizes for fairs and a roll-up banner. The penguin from the stickers will be used on t-shirts.

Response / Impact

The client expressed great happiness with the results. The materials looked great while effectively conveying the brand message resonating with the target audience. The design and execution of the materials aligned with the client's vision and brand identity. The persuasive materials acted as practical marketing tools, potentially leading to increased brand awareness, customer engagement, and higher sales or conversions. Overall, this project's positive response and impact showcased the importance of well-designed promotional materials in conveying a persuasive brand message and driving positive outcomes for the client.
